These terms and conditions and The Consumer Protection (Distant Selling) Regulations 2000 apply to all purchases of goods and/or services from Harris Tweed and Knitwear Ltd.
The online terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Harris Tweed and Knitwear Ltd (“we,” ”our,” or ”us” may change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect when posted on the website and it is your responsibility to read these terms and conditions on each occasion you use this website. The terms shall be governed by the laws of Scotland and both you and Harris Tweed And Knitwear Ltd submit to non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
Overseas Orders
Goods and/or services ordered from our website for delivery outside the United Kingdom are not subject to Vat charges however they may be subject to import duties and taxes or handling charges which are levied when the delivery reaches the country of destination. We do not have any control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Payment of any such charges, taxes, or import duties will be your responsibility and you must comply with the applicable laws and regulations held within the destination country. Please check with your local customs office for further information prior to placing your order.
Price and Payment
The price of any Products will be as quoted on our site, except in cases of obvious error.
Purchases within the UK will be subject to Vat at 20%.
Confirmation of the transaction will be sent to the email address you have provided.
Refunds and Cancellations
Where we are unable to supply the goods and/or services you have ordered for any reason, we will issue you with a full refund by crediting the card with which you paid, for your order.
If the goods we deliver to you are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective in any way, please let us know as soon as you can so that we can correct this for you.
You may of course return anything you purchase from us for a refund or exchange.
Where an exchange is requested, please do return the item to us at the address below in an unused state with the tags attached and within 30 days. Please include a note of your name, order number and request then we will process that for you once it arrives.
We do not issue returns labels therefore please do return the item to our address below.
The Contract
Your order constitutes an offer to Harris Tweed and Knitwear Ltd to buy goods and/or services. All orders are subject to acceptance by us and such acceptance will be by way of an email confirming payment has been received for the goods and/or services (the purchase confirmation). The contract between you and us will only be formed when you are sent the purchase confirmation.
Delivery
Please note that it is Harris Tweed and Knitwear Ltd who are responsible for supplying your goods.
We aim to dispatch your order within 2 working days however if your order is urgent, please do let us know and we will do what we can to make sure it gets to you in time.
